Mysuru: The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation Limited’s decision to cut off power supply to street lights along the Ring Road – owing to pending bills – has given rise to theft cases along the Ring Road.
At least in two incidents miscreants have stolen CCTV camera batteries and UPS Inverter from the streetlights on the Ring Road. Theft cases were reported from near the Police Quarters and the other near the Chikkahalli banyan tree. Circle Smps
Following the Mysuru City Corporation’s delay in clearing pending dues to the electricity supply company, power supply to streetlights on the Ring Road has been suspended.
Meanwhile, commuters, these days, are hesitant to take Ring Road as there are not enough streetlights leaving them vulnerable to anti-social elements that are active after Sunset.
Power Supply For Camera The Mysuru City Police have registered a complaint at the Alanahalli Police Station regarding the theft of batteries and inverters.
