T oday, UK-based Garrick announced a new skeleton dial timepiece that follows up the company’s S1 and S2 models.

Uniquely, the gear train, main plate, and bridges are mostly visible on the dial side of the watch, with the heat blue steel chapter ring — as well as blued power reserve and small seconds subdials — placed directly on top. Matching blued Marine-style hands display the hours and minutes.

Contrasting the blued elements, the main plate, which acts as the dial, comes in either a gold or rhodium-plated finish. Additionally, the dial has been hand frosted, while the bridges feature shiny black polished surfaces. In addition, there are screwed hand-polished chatons for 8 of the 19 jewels, located on the front and back of the movement.

The caliber UT-G04 is hand-wound, has a 45-hour power reserve, and is exclusive to Garrick. Garrick says the balance wheel is an “in-house free-sprung balance – tested and regulated to ensure a daily variance of +3 seconds.”

Water-resistance is 100 meters and there are a variety of straps to choose from. The retail price starts at approximately $29,700 in stainless steel.
