TikTok user Ella, who posts under @housenumber6_, showed how she added the sticky tape onto the outside of her shower to create a very stylish finish. Anodized Aluminum Discs
In a video that has racked up 20,000 views, she said: “In 2020 I decided to paint the shower and add black tape to the glass to create a Crittall style effect.
“2 years on, it’s still going strong.”
“Crittall style” is typically glass panels with a black steel frame, dating back to the family who manufactured the product in Essex in the 19th century.
Ella will have saved a lot creating the look herself using sticky tape, and described it as “budget decor at its finest.”
She added: “The tape I used is a coloured self adhesive vinyl craft tape off eBay in the 5mm size.”
Many people were highly impressed with her budget transformation.
