The Chief Medical Director, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Prof Akeem Lasisi took to the witness box during a coroner inquest into the cause of death of Nigerian Senator Isiaka Adeleke.
Prof. Lasisi testified that Senator Adeleke was given an overdose of an outlawed drug Analgin, apart from Analgin, the Senator was intravenously injected with 4 ampoules of 10mg of Diazepam, 1 ampoule of Pentazocine, 1 ampoule of Gentamicin. The injections were administered on the late Senator after he complained of leg pain following a full day of political activities in his home state Osun in preparation for a gubernatorial race.
