JinkoSolar’s optimized Eagle MX panels replace bypass diodes with high-yielding cell-string optimize - PV Tech

JinkoSolar has introduced the Eagle MX solar panel, its next generation smart module for the high-volume mainstream PV panel market that incorporates a new innovative cell-string optimizer technology. The Eagle MX Series is available in both monocrystalline and multicrystalline configurations and deploys Passivated Emitter Rear Contact (PERC) cell technology and 4 busbars for higher conversion efficiencies in the Eagle MX (JK07A/B) mono – c-Si panel (275-355 Watt) 60 & 72-cell configurations.

Solar modules that are expected to be exposed to the environment for at least 25 years can be affected by conditions such as: shading, soiling, aging, temperature gradients, and more. Mismatch caused by these factors in a panel or among various panels can cause the system to lose power. Unlike conventional bypass diodes, solar cell optimizers do not bypass weak cell strings as with a MPPT device,; the on-off response to performance mismatch is eliminated as well as the risk of hot spots. The Eagle MX module allows PV panels to harvest significantly more energy and simplifies design complexity for solar installation projects. The highly distributed MPPT architecture affords improved tolerance to shading, reduction in power degradation, and even enables denser system design on ideal un-shaded rooftop and ground-mount systems. The module is claimed to produce up to 20% more energy under such unfavorable conditions and care compatible with any inverter brand.

JinkoSolar is offering the Eagle MX module in both monocrystalline and multicrystalline configurations. The top-line Eagle MX JK07A panel (275-355 Watt) 60 & 72-cell configurations can be supplied with panel efficiencies of 18.31% with a 10-year product and 25-year linear power warranty. The Eagle MX JK07A (poly) (260W 60-cell panels have a positive power tolerance of 0~+3%. The Eagle MX JK07B poly panel comes in 255-330 Watt 60-72-cell configurations with 10-year product and 25-year linear power warranty.
